Creating special experiences in bonus-type rooms helps deliver purpose.
When we began, this room was very blah and without a specific purpose. Taking the cue from the existing built-in bookshelves, we designed a library area. Moody walls for a library feel especially inviting and anchored with super comfy chairs and layered patterns, this space quickly became a favorite destination in the home.

Wow! A big transformation that shifts the attention to inside. Since this is a family home, playful details, games, books, and blankets were an essential part of the design (as was keeping some floor space open for easy sprawling!)
